    WHAT TO EXPECT:

    Impact has a well-rounded, hands-on program for learners who want to pursue careers in the electrical field.

    • Initial orientation will introduce apprenticeship candidates to the job - learning from experienced journeymen and management until they show competence with both electrical systems and general.
    • On completion, apprentices will learn most aspects of the trade, this includes rotating through various sectors (commercial, oil & gas, mining, ag, etc.)
    • In addition to being trained by different journeymen during their apprenticeship, apprentices are given ample opportunity to learn new skills so that they're completely ready when it comes time for them to become journeymen themselves.

    We can train you up on the above skills as long as you're already a team player with ambitions to learn and grow within the industry.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Indentured Apprentice (preferred)
    • You have a valid driver's license & clean driving record
    • You have strong communication skills
    • You’re a team player with ambitions to learn and grow within the industry
    • A normal day will be 8 to 4:30 and report out of our Rosetown office.

    Q: HOW MANY DO YOU TAKE PER YEAR? 

    • Historically 5 to 10 per year

    Q: HOW MUCH DOES AN APPRENTICE MAKE IN THEIR FIRST YEAR?

    • With no experience, pay will be about $16/hr, raising with school, experience and performance

    Q: DOES SCHOOL COST MONEY?

    • The apprentice is responsible to pay their indenture fee and schooling fees.

    Q: DO I GET PAID WHILE I’M AT SCHOOL?

    • Sort of. The government pays EI while you are enrolled in school.

    Q: HOW LONG IS THE SESSION AT SCHOOL

    • Approximately 2 months per year for 4 years. 

    Q: IS THERE A JOB AT THE END?

    THE OPPORTUNITY:

    ✓ Troubleshooting issues and supporting commissioning

    THE OPPORTUNITY:

    We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Saskatoon, focusing on industrial project work. Your primary role will be to lead the development of detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates, from drawings and specs — or sometimes just an owner’s concept — through to final proposal delivery and project handoff.


    You’ll be a key partner in how we pursue and win work. Your ability to collaborate with clients, interpret incomplete or evolving scopes, and turn that into structured proposals will set the tone for successful project execution. Our team would love to hear from you if you:


    ✓ Have 3+ years of estimating experience in electrical construction, preferably in the industrial sector
    ✓ Understand industrial project lifecycles and how copes evolve in design-build or conceptual stages
    ✓ Are comfortable liaising directly with owners and technical stakeholders
    ✓ Can confidently interpret drawings and develop detailed takeoffs and cost estimates
    ✓ Have a strong working knowledge of Accubid/Trimble estimating software
    ✓ Enjoy digging into details and producing professional, accurate and timely proposals
    ✓ Hold a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Construction Electrician
    ✓ Hold a valid and clean class 5 drivers license, endorsements are an asset

    THE WORK:

    Your number one focus is estimating — owning the full process from opportunity to project handoff:


    ✓ Review and interpret bid documents, drawings, and specifications
    ✓ Collaborate with industrial clients — including during incomplete or design-build phases — to develop budgetary or detailed estimates
    ✓ Build and submit professional proposals that reflect project risk, scope, and pricing strategy
    ✓ Conduct estimate reviews with internal stakeholders
    ✓ Formally hand off the awarded project to the Project Manager, clearly outlining scope, pricing assumptions, and client expectations
    ✓ Negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing and ensure accurate quote coverage
    ✓ Maintain tracking of: estimates submitted, projects awarded, forecasted opportunities (with win probabilities), benchmark data for future estimates
    ✓ Analyze past proposals and continuously improve estimating tools and processes
    ✓ Represent Impact Energy with integrity and professionalism throughout the estimating lifecycle

    THE OPPORTUNITY:

    With exciting new opportunities and partnerships, Impact Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager, to join our Team, based out of our Saskatoon or Rosetown, SK locations. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and overseeing all aspects of electrical projects; ensuring projects are completed on time and budget and to Impact Energy’s standards; managing client expectations; and ensuring Impact Energy’s brand promise of being the most responsive, trusted and professional electrical contractor is upheld. There is an option for a hybrid work arrangement.

    Our team would love to hear from you if you:

    • Hold a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Construction Electrician
    • Have 5 years experience with commercial electrical installation and project management
    • Have strong field construction experience
    • Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
    • Have critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, strong leadership, time management and communication skills
    • Have the ability to manage multiple projects, and a proficiency in project management software and tools
    • A Project Management Professional Certification is considered any asset
    • A Gold Seal Certification, is considered an asset

    THE WORK:

    Well, we do a lot of things Oil & Gas, Mining, Agriculture, Commercial, but today we are focusing on Commercial Electrical Project Management. Here we go!

    • Leading, planning and prioritizing electrical projects for success completion
    • Developing, communicating and maintaining project schedules, budgets and
      resource plans
    • Monitoring project progression, identifying risks and issues, and implementing
      solutions
    • Preparing and managing project documentation, including project plans, status
      reports and project close reports
    • Facilitating project meetings with Site Leaders, offering assistance as needed
    • Building relationships with the construction industry, including vendors and suppliers, General Contractors and other contractors
